Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board (VFTCB) is one of our many long-standing clients. We’ve worked very closely as a trusted video production partner since 2017, and in that time, we’ve produced more than 40 videos which have helped to promote events, launch brands, attract new visitors from near and far, and introduce viewers to the many great ways to play and stay in Montgomery County, PA. In that time, our projects have reached more than 1.7 million views on Facebook alone, and has helped in the board’s efforts to grow the local economies throughout the county.

▻ THE CHALLENGE ◅
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted every business across America in one way or another, but it’s our small businesses who have been impacted the most. As a small business ourselves, we have a unique understanding of what these business owners have gone through since March. So we wanted to create a campaign that celebrated small business and encouraged viewers to support them, especially as we enter what will be a challenging winter season.
▻ THE PITCH ◅
Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board’s ubiquitous tagline is “Make It Montco”, so our Development and Production teams pitched VFTCB the idea of creating two (30-second) and one (60-second) TV spots that would feature ten “Main Street” businesses across Montgomery County. We’d call the campaign, “Make it Main Street”, a play on the client’s recognizable tagline.
Of course fitting ten businesses into a 30 or 60 second window may give viewers a quick glimpse into what they’re all about, but it was just as important to us to be able to tell individual brand stories for each of the businesses we visited. That way, we could really get to know the owners, what they offer, who they serve, and why the community should rally around them. Plus, each business could use this more “full-length” video for their own purposes - on their websites, on social media, and more.
When crafting these personal stories, it’s very important to us that we don’t just show up on the day of the shoot. Our Production team went out for site visits and met these business owners face to face, without a camera, to understand the passion behind their storefronts - all to ensure that passion shined through in the finished pieces.
