A Year in Review

2018 marked the busiest year to date at 20/20 Visual Media and we’d like to celebrate its success in the form of a top 10 list! Over a frantic 12 months, we produced 78 projects over the course of 170 days on-location. Below is a video run-down of our 10 favorite projects we produced last year. Who doesn’t like a list?

10. Elmwood Park Zoo Commercial

We kick things off with some kids saying darndest things. But in this case, it’s about their favorite place to learn about animals. Coming in at Number 10 is a local TV commercial for the Elmwood Park Zoo.

9. Family Promise

Number 9 is our first opportunity to work with an outstanding non-profit organization called Family Promise that works diligently to provide housing for families in need. This video was a compilation of some incredible stories we were able to capture over the year. The compilation was used at Family Promise’s annual gala.

8. Lew Klein Awards

Number 8 celebrates the number 10, as in, the 10th year we’ve produced the videos for the Lew Klein Alumni in the Media Awards for the Lew Klein College of Media and Communication at Temple University. This year’s “Excellence in the Media” winner was none other than the “Round Mound of Rebound”, the fearless NBA Hall of Fame player and broadcaster, Charles Barkley.

7. Acres of Diamonds Gala

Each year, Temple University Hospital hosts a fundraising gala to support the critical work it does to care for those in an underserved community. In 2018, the “Special Appeal” was for its transplant units - departments that spring into action sometimes literally within minutes - to save the lives of those with failing organs.

6. Bozzuto - Canvas Valley Forge

It’s a new concept in senior living. Canvas is a 55+ residence like you’ve never seen before. This video takes you through its first class amenities, activities, and people that make building a community possible. When we can move in?

5. MLB Little League Classic

Dreams came true when the participants in the Little League World Series got to meet their favorite professional baseball players! The Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets played in the 2nd annual “MLB Little League Classic” that pits two major league teams against each other in Williamsport, PA, the heart of the Little League World Series.

4. Happy People

Who says you can’t tell an emotional story about paint? That was our goal in a series of testimonials for CertaPro Painters. This campaign called “Happy People” took us all over the greater Philadelphia area looking for customers whose homes and businesses were transformed by the paint jobs - and people - of CertaPro Painters.

3. STARR Restaurants - Gift Cards

This snappy social video was a late addition to our 2018 portfolio, but one of the most fun to pull off. We worked with our great friends at Rory Creative to storyboard, stage, and bring to life this holiday promo for Stephen Starr’s 37 restaurants. We may or may not have played with our food!

2. History Reimagined

Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board added to its impressive portfolio of attractions this year by expanding on its historical footprint. The “Patriot Trails” include a series of history making events and places to visit across Valley Forge, and in this video, George Washington himself takes us on a tour of what families can visit.

1. Crayola’s Crayon Melter

And coming in at Number 1 on our list is an unboxing video of another great product from our pals at Crayola. This is the “Crayon Melter” - a product that can turn crayons back into wax that’s suited to draw on nearly any surface - perfect for coloring all over the set we built!

So that’s it, that’s the list! Do you have a favorite that made the Top 10? We’d love to hear your feedback!

And who knows? Maybe your project will crack the 2019 Top 10.
