20/20 Wins Two Gold "Davey Awards"

We’re happy to announce that 20/20 Visual Media recently added two award statues to its shelf.  Two of our favorite projects of 2016 were awarded Gold “Davey Awards” from the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts.

Each year, the Davey Awards recognize excellence of the “Davids” of creativity – small agencies, firms, and companies worldwide who derive their success from big ideas rather than big budgets or staffs.  David defeated the giant Goliath with a big idea and a little rock – the sort of thing small agencies do each year.

This year, our promotional video “Philly From The Top” for the One Liberty Observation Deck was recognized for its achievement in cinematography.  Patrick Rosenbaum served as primary cinematographer for that project.

The second video that took home a prize was our multilingual video welcome to international families whose children need to stay at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for extended periods of time.  Versions of the video were produced for CHOP’s International Patient Services department in English, Spanish, and Arabic.

Judging for the Davey Awards is based on a 100-point scale.  Entries that win “Gold” awards score 90 or above, and fewer than 10% of entries are awarded a Gold Davey Award.   This year, the Davey Awards received nearly 4,000 entries from ad agencies, interactive agencies, production firms, in-house creative professionals, graphic designers, design firms, and public relations firms.
